The advantage of diaphragm valves is the dead space-free design. Residues that could cause cross-contamination cannot become deposited. The diaphragm design is particularly suitable for the switching of highly viscous or tacky gases or liquids.
Due to the residue-free switching of viscous or tacky media, the diaphragm valves are suitable for use in ultra-high purity processes (UHP) in the semi-conductor industry, biotechnology and the pharmaceuticals industry where contamination has to be ruled out.
The housing and the diaphragm of the Hy-Lok diaphragm valve are anodically polished for a long service life and have outstanding resistance to chemicals. The design offers minimum dead spaces and minimised particle contamination.
Versions for low pressure and high pressure applications are available that can be actuated both manually and pneumatically.
