Inline filters are used to produce a clean medium by filtering out harmful particles. Thanks to their design in through-pass form, inline filters are particularly suitable for use in pipelines where space is at a premium.
The filter element made from sintered stainless steel has a large number of miniature pores. Particles that are larger than the pores cannot pass through the filter. This results in a clean system medium. After a certain period of operation, the pores become blocked by particles and the pressure drop increases. This depends on the flow rate through the filter elements and the purity of the medium upline of the filter. The filter element then has to be replaced to ensure a clean system medium with low pressure drop.
The compact design of the Hy-Lok filters with through-pass form permits a space-saving installation. The filter elements are made of sintered stainless steel with a nominal pore size of 0.5 to 100 micrometres.
